We've all seen those television adverts where a family of plasticine people discover the error of their unhealthy ways and decide to change for life. Well now you can join the 'Plasticines' for your own family fun weekend. In an initiative to get people moving, on the 28th & 29th September Walk4Life are offering a series of Autumn Ambles: thirty-six guided walks around London all for free.
It is the perfect way for families to spend the day out together without spending a penny. You can share in an enjoyable activity, motivate each other to keep fit, and get away from all the noise, pollution, and traffic. Believe it or not, there are places in London like this. Amble through parks and woodlands, over rivers and canals, and visit some of the capital's best attractions.
Choose a walk to suit your fitness level and schedule; they range from a short one and a half mile journey, covering the 'amazing history of the banks of the River Thames', to a mega twenty-one mile 'Green Chain' walk along the city's first long distance footpath.
