The World Tour Finals
You will have done impressively well if you've not managed to watch any tennis by the end of this year. We've already had one leg of the grand slam with Roger Federer winning his seventh Wimbledon title. We will soon have the tennis at the Olympics, which will be taking place again at Wimbledon but with the chance to win a gold medal rather then yet another Wimbledon title if your name happens to be Roger. Then, to top the year off the World Tour Championships will be taking place in the magnificent setting of the O2 arena.
In November this year, eight of the worlds best tennis players will be battling it out on the indoor court in the now defunct Millennium Dome. This tournament is unique in its set up as the prize money totals a whipping £5.5 million but the most stand out point of all is the fact that you are highly unlikely to see Nadal or Djokovic beat an unknown from Liechtenstein three sets to love in an hour. All of these games are the top players playing each other in a round robin format so you are bound to catch some thrilling games if you make the trip.
Already confirmed this year are Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic and with five more top quality players waiting to be announced to battle for the huge jackpot, this is one tournament you don't want to miss. The tournament runs from the 5th of November up to the final on the 12th and tickets range from £30 to around £150 for the final. These kind of games are the ones that all tennis and even non tennis fans would die to see. So do you really want to miss this?
