When people think of Oxford they think of the palatial university and possibly the home of the creative inspiration behind the
Harry Potter series. Those of you who are foodies though, or love a juicy burger, will enjoy it's comic themed restaurant, Atomic Burger.

With two locations in Bristol and Oxford, Atomic Burger is known for its insane variety of 6oz British beef patty burgers and
jaw-dropping food challanges. For those who are brave, the latest challenge named 'The Fallout Challenge' tests those brave enough to down a triple stacked burger in between two pizza buns, along with a side of
Triple Sci Fries. If that sounds easy, we are missing one vital point, the burger is doused in a monstrous amount of ghost chilli's. Just to make it that little bit more gruesome is the time limit of one hour.

Unfortunately my partner and I decided to settle for a sane meal and booked ourselves into this burger joint to celebrate our six month anniversary.
We had prepared for this meal all day and had scanned the menu of 32 burgers, 10 hot dogs, 10 sides, 15 shakes and 5 alcoholic beverages. After much deliberation I went for the
Dead Elvis burger - comprised of a burger topped with Swiss cheese, American cheese, bacon & onions and served with a side order of your choice whilst my partner went for a mini challenge of his own, ordering the challenge burger but without the deadly ghost chilli's--the Dolly Parton burger with an extra patty--comprised of a double stack burger, double American cheese and bacon and a side, he opted for the coleslaw.

The burgers are cooked medium unless otherwise preferred and come with a side of your choice, in out case it was fries.
After comtemplating how to devour my burger, whether to cut it into two halves or eat it whole, I decided whole was the way to go. The first bite encompassed every aspect of a good burger: juicy meat, melting cheese, jalapeños and a toasty bun.

One of the best additions was the selection of condiments. There was every type of mustard you can imagine.
After making our way through out main course we ordered their cookie sundae. This was a huge Sundae which needed help of two people to finish. Layers were split into cream, chocolate, Oreo cookies, marshmallow fluff and finished with whipped cream and a cherry on top.

If you are a burger lover I suggest you head to Atomic Burger and enjoy their sizeable helpings of sides and succulent burgers.
