You don't know music if you don't know this band
Indie week 2017 kicked off at 'Night and Day Café' in the Northern quarter of Manchester. I walked in just as Astral Project were about to come on, this up and coming band had clearly got themselves quite a following already as the bar was full.

Night and Day turned out to be a perfect venue for this psychedelic style band. With its dark, intimate stage and cosy old fashioned pub feel they premiered their new song 'Athena'. Clearly popular, it got the biggest cheer of the night. Kudos to the writer, lead singer Abbi Parcell, who sung all their songs to perfection, her gravelly voice and enthusiastic stage presence encouraged the rest of the band as well as the audience to dance along. I too soon found myself singing along to the catchy chorus.

Great venue, great band. If you want a guaranteed good night go on to their Facebook page and get yourself a ticket for their upcoming gigs in Manchester. Their second single release is on the 4th of November at the 'Aatma' venue in the Northern Quarter, see you there.
