Asgard games have been running in Walsall since 2013. However, at the end of 2019, the owner moved to a bigger venue in the Digbeth area of Walsall. The new venue is a lot bigger providing ample space for gamers to play games on-site and there's a large cafe/bar area at the front of the store which provides food, coffee and a selection of ales and ciders.

There's a store for all your role-playing and tabletop gaming needs, a playing area that can be hired out and a cafe where you can hire out a game to play. There are events such as quiz nights put on in the evenings and weekends. The food ranges from burgers, fries, flatbread pizzas and falafel all reasonably priced. The beer price is from about £3.50 to £4.50. It is a family-friendly venue. It is easily accessible in Walsall town centre and is situated by the market.

While not much of a gamer myself, I have spent many an enjoyable hour eating, drinking either coffee or ale, relaxing, talking to friends and family and watching the world go by. My young daughters have enjoyed visiting, relaxing and reading in the cafe and playing some of the games that we have hired while visiting. I am looking forward to attending some of the local community events planned once we are in a post-COVID-19 world.
