Watch Art Being Born
Usually we like to before we buy; being able to touch the products gives us a sense of confidence in its quality, and also helps us determine whether we like it or not. But what if you could go one step further - or rather one step back? Wouldn't it be great to go to the factory where our goods were being made, and see them being produced? Art in Action does just that. Between the 18th-21st July at Waterperry House & Gardens, you won't just be able to see the art, but be a witness to its birth. Over four days, hundreds of artists will they will paint, draw, weave, sculpt, hammer, stitch, and sculpt before your eyes as they demonstrate the techniques used to come up with the final product.
Once you've seen them at work, you might even then be inspired to take part in one of the many workshops on offer, such as bird box making, glass engraving, and pottery throwing. What will you create?
A series of demonstrations, workshops, tours, and lectures you will have plenty of opportunities to watch, play, and learn. There will also be hundreds of market stalls where you can buy anything from paper crafts, knitwear, and ceramics.
Art can be a very broad term, and there are lots of marquees with interesting stalls that you might not expect to find, such as one for beekeeping, calligraphy, and jewellery making.
Tickets can be bought for one day at £15 for adults, £12 seniors, and £4 children, or you can get a season ticket between £21-£31 adult, £17-£25 seniors, and £6-£12 children.
