Arsenal Football club have a long and proud history—they are one of England's most successful sides. Any visit to London will be enhanced by a trip to the Arsenal museum and taking a tour of the spectacular Emirates Stadium .

Based in North London, Arsenal began life as Woolwich Arsenal and were the first club in London to join the Football League, back in 1893. They have been champions of England 13 times and FA Cup winners 10 times. They also have the distinction of holding the record for the longest spell in the top division of English football, as well as being the only side in the modern era to have completed a whole league season without defeat.

In 1913, Arsenal moved across the city to their iconic Highbury stadium, where they resided for over 90 years. Highbury was a much beloved football ground, but it was dated and its location—surrounded by houses—meant that any expansion to its capacity 38,000 seats was impossible.

In 2006, the club moved to their brand new 60,000 capacity stadium, just a few hundred yards away from Highbury, at Ashburton Grove. The ground was also named Emirates Stadium in a lengthy sponsorship deal with the international airline.

Arsenal are regularly in contention for the English Premier League title and have also qualified for the UEFA Champions League 17 times.

Stadium Museum and Tour.

The best way to truly experience the Emirates Stadium is on matchday. The club's popularity means that all Arsenal matches are played before capacity crowds.

If you are unable to make it to a match, there are a number of options are available for fans of all teams who wish to soak up the atmosphere of this global football icon.

A Self-Guided Audio Tour gives you access to a player's view of the stadium. Hear a host of Arsenal legends tell tales of their time at the club as you visit the changing rooms, wander down the tunnel and delve into an incredible behind-the-scenes experience.

The Legends Tour is certainly an unforgettable experience for Arsenal fans. An Arsenal hero will guide you around the stadium and personally reveal their own story and opinions on the current team. Current legends taking tours include: FA Cup hero Charlie George, Double winner John Radford, the ever popular two-times league winner Perry Groves and also member of George Graham's legendary defence, Lee Dixon.

No tour would be complete, though, without a trip to the Arsenal museum. Tickets to the Arsenal museum can be bought separately but buy either stadium tour and you receive entry to the interactive museum which includes such exhibits as Charlie George's 1971 FA Cup final shirt and Michael Thomas' boots from the incredible league title shootout match at Anfield in 1989.

Ticket prices start at £7.50 and run up to £37.50 depending on the options chosen.
