Arcane Roots are touring the UK from January through March to promote their new album Melancholia Hymns, before heading to Europe in March. The band will be playing Engine Rooms in Southampton on Saturday January 20 with support act BRUTUS from Belgium.



Arcane Roots are a band that seem dead set against being pigeonholed. On anyone album, they span multiple genres and music styles. The ethereal sound of 'Curtains' almost has a Massive Attack-esque vibe, while 'Indigo' channels Bon Iver and 'Everything (All At Once)' doesn't take long before the fast and hard guitars kick in. Arcane Roots have always been hard to pin down, but their new album, Melancholia Hymns definitely takes the band in a bit of a different direction.



Their support act, BRUTUS, are lead by the powerful vocals of singer and drummer Stefanie. BRUTUS are full of energy, their music instantly kicks you into action and you find yourself jumping around your lounge room before you even realise you got off the couch. They released their debut album, Burst, in 2017 and are in the middle of touring through Europe either side of the Arcane Roots tour.

Tickets for the show are £14.57 and can be purchased from the Engine Rooms website . The show is 14 plus only.
