It will be a case of "All That Jazz" when the next instalment of the
Lichfield Garrick theatre's monthly jazz night programme comes to the city venue in April. The latest music show features London-based guitarist and composer
Ant Law who will be performing in the Garrick's studio theatre on Wednesday 13 April.
Ant Law, who will be joined by his quintet during the concert, has been described as "an innovator" in various circles for his brand of jazz. The guitar-playing Ant began his musical journey as a scholar at Edinburgh University and Berklee College of Music. Now residing in London, he works extensively with his own quintet, as well as Grammy-winner and Chick Corea sideman Tim Garland's Lighthouse and with saxophonist/composer Paul Riley and Trio HSK.
The monthly Jazz at the Garrick programme aims to showcase the finest singers and musicians from the UK jazz circuit set in the intimate settings of the studio theatre.
Ant Law will be performing at the Lichfield Garrick on Wednesday 13 April from 7.45pm. Further Jazz at the Garrick offerings consist of Theo Jackson on Wednesday 11 May and Juliet Kelly on Wednesday 15 June.
Tickets for Ant Law and the other jazz concerts cost £12, and can be booked
online or by calling the theatre Box Office on 01543 412121.
