Get ready to roll back the years and have a good laugh. From 12th May to 28th July, every Monday night from 7pm to 8:30pm, join us at the Broadway Cinema for "." Just a heads up, we'll be taking a break on Bank Holiday Monday, so don't show up expecting a slapstick showdown on the 26th of May or the 16th of June.
This year is a big one—it's been 60 years since Stan Laurel departed this world, and let's be honest, the man was a comedic genius. Alongside his hilariously clumsy partner, Oliver Hardy, they made some of the most memorable short films in the 1920s and 30s, transitioning from silent films to the talkies while leaving us in stitches. We'll delve into Stan's vaudeville beginnings, his comical rivalry with Chaplin, and his dynamic partnership with Ollie, all whilst indulging in their timeless films. Come for the classic comedy, stay for the nostalgic chuckles, and let's keep the spirit of the lads alive for a few cheeky Mondays.
