From Saturday the 28th of May visitors to the Newcastle Life Centre will be able to get under the skin of some of the world's most incredible creatures. Real animals from giraffes to sharks are unveiled from the inside out, their networks of blood and muscle perfectly preserved through the wonder of plastination. The Life Centre aims to "illustrate the complexity of animal physiology, exploring the inner workings of animals and the systems that allow them to live, thrive and survive." The exhibition will run until January 3rd 2017 and tickets are available from www.life.org.uk
It is worth noting that no animals were killed or harmed in the making of this exhibition – rather, it has come to life through partnerships with zoos and university veterinary programmes.
