'The human world is a mess, life under the seas is better than anything they've got up there.' - Sebastian, The Little Mermaid
You know what, Sebastian is right; after all, under the sea you can find the
Young Amphibians , and we all know from
The Little Mermaid how much they love to play music.
These tadpoles are newly hatched, having only just grouped together in December 2013. The alternative rock band, based in Leeds, is ready to take the UK by storm with infectious and catchy rock anthems inspired by Radiohead, PIXIES, and The Smashing Pumpkins.
The Young Amphibians will be performing at
The Spice of Life in Soho on the 26th April from 7pm, and will be joined by
Tiny Phillips , a six-piece indie mashup from Manchester.
Also playing, folk duo, Anna Lee and Sigurd blended their Venezuelan and Danish roots to form
My Youth , with music influenced by The National, Bon Iver, Arcade Fire, and Fleetwood Mac.
Lighthouse - Single by Thom Byles
Last on the line-up,
Thom Byles is an English-Mexican songwriter, who 'plays the acoustic guitar and ukulele in an unusual manner
combining percussive and melodic phrases overlaid by warm, heartfelt vocals.'
