In the heart of 'Little Hanoi' sits Anh Dao and a peek inside this restaurant shows the restaurant teeming with Vietnamese people. This sort of authenticity is unconventional in the home of asymmetric haircuts and thick-rimmed spectacles.

The interior decor has all been imported directly from Vietnam, with walls covered in bamboo, rising up to a bamboo canopy and a fishing boat hanging from the wall.

The chef Tranh Tran hails from Ha Long Bay in Northern Vietnam and prides himself on the freshest ingredients and is renowned for his seafood.

A main is between £6-10 with rice as extra, and an option of BYOB can help to keep this a fantastically casual but scrumptious meal out.

I would recommend the rare beef and lemon juice salad and/or scallops to start and the baked mackerel and seafood stir-fry. But if you don't want to take my recommendations, the menu removes the dilemma of choosing between several equally divine sounding dishes, by providing a hint towards the chef's favourites.
