He has been shocking audiences for an incredible six decades with his unique brand of live rock shows. But the amazing
Alice Cooper is not yet ready to put away his trademark leathers, snakes and even guillotines that have made his live stage shows such a must-see event over the past 60 years.
The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee remains one of the greatest rock experiences after a career that has resulted in the sale of more than 50 million records worldwide. Now Alice, regarded by many as ‘the Godfather of Shock Rock, will be returning to the UK for the first time since 2022 with his award-winning band for a long-awaited arena tour.
Alice Cooper is going back on the road
Alice is bringing his havoc-wreaking live show to selected dates in the UK during October, including London, Manchester, and the
Utilita Arena in Birmingham on 16 October. The Too Close For Comfort tour will bring fans closer than ever to the stage with giant video screens blending the live action with pre-recorded scenes to delve deeper into Alice’s world.
Amid all the spectacle, fans can expect to hear Alice Cooper classics such as “Schools Out”, “Poison”, “Under My Wheels,” “I’m Eighteen,” and “Billion Dollar Babies,” as well as the promise of surprises every night, drawn from one of the greatest rock ‘n’ roll back catalogues. Fresh from the success of his latest album, ‘Road,’ a concept album about the thrills and spills of touring, Alice will again be accompanied by his live band of Ryan Roxie (guitar), Chuck Garric (bass), Tommy Henrikson (guitar), Glen Sobel (drums), and Nita Strauss (guitar).
He will be supported on his Birmingham show by Primal Scream
Alice said: “
For ‘Road’, I wanted the band to be involved in the foundation of all the songs. I only see these guys when we’re on the road. So, I wanted them to be as tight as they are for the show but on all new material. When you have a band this good, I believe in showing it off, and this is my way of doing so.”
