, a chap who knows his way around a drum kit, is set to play Peggy's Skylight in Nottingham on Wednesday the 9th of July, 2025. If you are pondering a mid-week musical outing, doors swing open at 7pm for the diners amongst us, or 7:30pm if you prefer to stand and soak it all in. The show itself kicks off around 8pm.
Apparently, Mr Flood leads his band from the drum stool, which is quite the feat, and they will be serving up a rather fresh concoction of live dance music. Think a lively blend of nu-jazz, house, broken beat, and a bit of DnB thrown in for good measure, plus some experimental sounds just to keep things interesting. It sounds like the kind of gig where your feet might just develop a mind of their own. He has a new record called ARTIFACTUAL RHYTHM due out in 2025, so expect a taste of that. He has also garnered a fair bit of praise for his previous work and has been collecting awards faster than a magpie collects shiny things. He will be joined by Erica Tucceri on flute, Jake Amy on keyboards, and Dylan Paul on bass, promising a rather groovy evening.
