Located on the Stoney Lane in Balsall Heath, is the little gem that is Al Faisals. Although it is situated around a vast array of restaurants and fast food places, it definitely stands out and for the right reasons.

It was reasonably priced, spiced and portioned.

As soon as you are seated, you are given poppadoms with a selection of chutneys, served in the tray shown below.

We chose the 'Chicken Boti' starter to share, which is basically boneless tandoori chicken. This was delicious. The thought of it is making me salivate and was a reasonable £3.80.

Then for the main, we had 'Chicken Tikka Masala' and 'Shikarey Ghost' (Lamb on the bone), which were both £6.95 each and were the best portion to not be overstuffed but satisfied. We ordered the 'Tawa Roti' (Chapatti), Garlic Coriander Naan and Garlic Coriander Roti.

I cannot complain about this place, everytime I go there it's good service and good food. And I swear they never paid me to say that.

If you go, you won't be disappointed.
