Afflecks Palace is like an Aladdin's cave for all things quirky and unique.

Hidden away down a side street in central Manchester, it would be easy to walk past this hidden gem. However, plan your visit in advance and you will be greeted by trendy mosaics adorning the palace walls - showcasing Manchester's finest talent such as the legend that is Ian Brown along with the likes of Liam Gallagher, Morrisey and even the cast of Coronation Street!

Once inside, there is a vast selection of independent shops and stalls selling everything from handmade soaps to vintage threads - all at very reasonable prices too. However, if clothes and smellies aren't really your thing then don't worry as you are bound to find a stall (or two! or three...or four...) that's perfect for you amongst the four floors. There is even the opportunity to stop by for a cake and a drink whilst being taught the art of cake decorating by the experts!

Or perhaps you'd like to treat yourself to a piercing or a tattoo to make your memory of Afflecks that little bit more long lasting....
