Get Your Kit Off This Sumer
In hot summer weather, when it is humid and muggy, sometimes all you want to do is strip off. That's fine when you're in the privacy of your own home, but out in public, this is called indecent exposure. But if the urge to wear your birthday suit is just too much to bear, there are some places in London where you can go about in the buff and not get arrested. In some cases you might even get thanked.
Whether you're doing it because you're hot, because you like to be risque, or because you have a good cause, get naked this summer, and experience life au naturale.
Streak for Tigers 15th August, 6.30pm, London Zoo £20
ZSL London Zoo is hosting a daring fundraising event to raise money in support of Sumatran Tigers. There are only three hundred Sumatran Tigers left in the wild, so they are asking three hundred brave individuals to sign-up and streak. It costs £20 to participate or £15 to watch, and you have to be eighteen or over to take part.
At the Watford Naturist Swimming Club you can go skinny dipping every Friday night, while at LA Fitness, Saturdays is their naked swim day. Membership is £20, but you can have a free session and try it out first.
Nudity is a men's only club in Vauxhall; it is £12 to get in and includes naked limbo. For mixed fun, you can enjoy hedonistic parties at the F Club, starting from £5 membership.
Rio's naturist health spa in North London is for single men and women. For some reason it is more expensive for men (£21 as opposed to £8-£10), but if you can live with the unfair gender bias, there is a sauna, steam room, sun-trap garden.
