Presented by Academy of Ancient Music,
Mortal Voices will be an evening of classical baroque music and song. The concert will be performed at Turner Sims on
Thursday March 1st 2018 at
8pm.
Featuring music from Corelli, Handel and Pergolesi, Mortal Voices samples some emblematic baroque music alongside the stunning voices of soprano Keri Fuge and countertenor Tim Mead. The songs are powerful and emotive, singing stories of pain, pleading, love and loss.
Mortal Voices will be performed by singers and musicians from the Academy of Ancient Music. Their goal is to bring new life to baroque and classical music by performing it with the same energy as when it was originally performed. These passionate musicians not only work with old music, they work with old instruments too, capturing the sound and spirit of a centuries-old era.
Tickets for Mortal Voices are
