Outdoor theatre is set to be a midsummer's dream with audiences invited to watch a special open-air performance of Shakespeare's classic play. The delightful grounds of medieval Tamworth Castle in Staffordshire will be the perfect setting for the Bard's fantastical comedy, , on Saturday, September 4 from 6.30pm. Tamworth Borough Council's Arts and Events Team are delighted to announce the live theatre production, which will be taking place against the stunning backdrop of Tamworth Castle. Performed by Heartbreak Productions, Shakespeare's most popular play of love and intrigue has been adapted for a new generation to enjoy through highlighting climate change. The performance will emphasise the importance of the environment and using our earth's resources wisely. Sets and costumes are made out of recycled materials, highlighting the issues within the piece and to help initiate a greener approach to productions.
