A Day Out in Marlow

A chance to get away from all of the hustle and bustle of London and yet still enjoy the sights and sounds of the Thames is the perfect reason to take a trip to the Georgian town of Marlow in Buckinghamshire. Just under an hour drive from London, this tranquil little English town is the perfect place to go to to relax.

The choice of activities and attractions in the town reflect a laid back attitude. You can spend the day by the riverside taking in the views.



Or you can take a visit to the polo club, stroll through Marlow Common or simply pop into the visitors centre to get a map of the town. Shopping can also be on the agenda with a choice of independent shops found dotted around the town, and hopefully you can pick up a bargain!

If all of this has caused you to build up an appetite then you wont struggle for places to grab a bite and a drink. There are different pubs and restaurants and even an Artisan Bakery to chose from.

To sum up then, if you are looking for a bit of piece and quite and want a day out by the riverside (hopefully in the sunshine) then Marlow is the place for you. It's easily within an hour of London so there's no real excuse for not going.
