The layout of 5th Avenue means a good experience for you and your mates. With plenty of places to grab a drink and a decent size dance floor you can be sure of a good time. Not only this, but an upstairs balcony area allows you to scout out the people you came with if you manage to get lost, admittedly this is probably not its primary reason for being there but it has been utilised many a time.
Let us talk facilities. For you smokers the price of a wristband to allow you to go outside is £1, giving you a total of 5 excursions into fresh air. Perhaps the price could be seen as a bit steep however I have yet to see someone be put off entirely because of it. There normally isn't a queue for the toilettes but you might wait round for 5 minutes for a drink during the busiest hours or nights, despite the number of places to get served.
In terms of what's on, you can view the different nights here. Each different night brings with it different drinks deals and occasionally you might find an inflatable gladiator pit or bull ride to have a go on.
One of the plus sides of 5th Avenue is that you can get away with more casual clothing than in some clubs you might have been to. T-shirts, trainers, jeans and even hooded jumpers can be worn which makes a nice change from the standard requirement of smart shoes.
Be warned, the bouncers are strict on ID and in some cases you need a valid student card to gain entry.
In all 5th Avenue is a breath of fresh air on the club scene whilst at the same time being a guaranteed fun night out. You won't have to spend heaps of cash to get in or for the drinks and the atmosphere is always a good one.
