Tapas aren't my favourite kind of dish, small bowls of food, which you have to share (!), doesn't rev up my appetite. With the right group of friends, and the right kind of food, however, my arm can be twisted, and that is exactly what 3 Amigos Tapas in Lichfield, has done.



This small, but perfectly formed new venue offers up a serious Spanish menu. The food is traditional, with a plethora of seafood options, not to mention a healthy serving of seasoned bread, which accompanies the meal.

3 Amigos certainly put my friends and I in the mood for a Spanish sojourn.

We tried the tapas and sangria – both delicious and the tapas portions were generous. Five plates is plenty for two and after stuffing our faces, we recommend the pinchos.



If you're not in the mood for tapas, there are plenty of alternatives, including pizza and a hog roast, but tapas are what '3 Amigos' do best.

There's also an extensive cocktail menu. On Friday and Saturday nights there's live music and the tables quickly fill up, so get in early.
