You'd be forgiven for having walked past this building for years without noticing it. Nestled away near Shudehill tram stop it may be somewhere you've only ever rushed past on your way into Manchester Arndale. It is small and unassuming but once you know it's there you'll wonder how you haven't heard about it sooner.
Described as a 'creative wellness centre' you may be unsure what to expect. Basically the old listed building has been turned into a wellness cafe and events venue. It is home to yoga classes, art exhibitions, food nights, live music and clothes swapping parties. If you are a creative soul this should be your new local in the city as there will always be something on to interest you. The inside is quaint and quirky, parasol umbrellas randomly hang from some of the ceilings and at night fairy lights illuminate the dark rooms; the old building has been brought to life but still retains a sense of history and wonder.
Regular events include open mic nights every Wednesday between 8pm-11pm and a vegetarian and vegan food feast on the last Thursday of every month. There are also regular classes which are more unusual than anything you can find at your local gym, you can take part in holistic boxing, reggae yoga or traditional West African drumming workshops. And if you have an idea for your own event you can always book this beautiful location to wow your guests.
This is a very unique space doing something different. The city can be a busy and stressful place so it is nice to find somewhere to go to relax, unwind and try something new. This is the perfect place to get out of your comfort zone and discover interesting classes. Once you know where The Wonder Inn is you'll be surprised at all the events on offer here, especially since the front of the building looks so small, it is like a secret labyrinth in the city. Put this amazing place on your to do list in order to try something new or maybe just as somewhere different to go and grab after work drinks.
