The cream of Liverpudlian cakes and pastries.

Located in the heart of the bustling shopping area of Liverpool, Patisserie Valerie provides a perfect cake break for those not indifferent to a fresh delicious homemade dessert.

As a chain, Patisserie Valerie specialises in continental breakfasts, lunches and hot drinks but its bakery is doubtlessly the cherry on the cake of Liverpudlian bakeries. It offers a wide choice of cakes, fruit tarts, macarons, ice-cream and more.

In addition to this, the café gives its visitors an opportunity to be creative by making their very own cake choosing from a variety of sponge types, creams, fillings and sizes.

However, even if you are not a big fan of cake, Patisserie Valerie will still impress you with a vast selection of delicious breakfasts ranging from simple continental breakfast to a full English-breakfast feast and a rich lunch menu.

The atmosphere of the café is very special too. Established in 1926, the place epitomises a classic vintage café. Classic style tables and sofas accompanied by quirky pictures and mild creamy walls and lighting create a special classy atmosphere of the place, while friendly and elegantly dressed waiters make the place exceptionally lively and welcoming. No matter what you are after, a little break in Patisserie Valerie will brighten your day.

I've been to Patisserie Valerie a few times before. I found it too expensive for what you get to be honest.
